About Vetterton
Marcus Vetter – Createur d’AudioCouture
For two decades, the vetterton company has showcased Marcus Vetter’s many musical talents.
Whether composing, producing, engineering for clients or performing as an artist, remixer and DJ („Prinz Shmookshtyk“) or just contemplating and connecting, Vetter infuses all his projects with soul, and this vetterton blog reflects that myriad of color and light.
A freelance producer and “Createur d’AudioCouture”, Marcus works around the world. German by birth, Marcus works in both Stuttgart and Berlin, but also bases his work in Indonesia where he is off to build up an active bridge between cultures. In his backpack is all a producer needs. But at all places there are also finest production facilities and he cooperates with high reputed professionals. Vetter considers himself lucky that his travels both inspire his projects and allow him to meet all kinds of interesting characters.
Being asked in an interview about the spirit common to all of the various disciplines he is into, Vetter answered:
“… the production of passionate memories. Audible energy. Mostly you can experience it by listening. Some of that energy will come to you easily and make you enjoy, some of it you may never get, if you don’t share a certain mood or spirit that very same moment, like always when somebody plays music to you, and you are just in a different mood. What makes one enjoy today can be annoying for another. And tomorrow it will be maybe right the other way round. But within good music you can always experience some spirit. You can feel audible energy in a subtile way, even if it’s not your personal taste or you can not explain why. You don’t have to be an expert or musician to experience that. Talking in a briefing in a project about your musicaly vision can be sometimes very difficult, but once you share the same spirit there will be just one vision and a breaking through result. And this spirit is about experiencing the same audible energy. Wether it’s a composition or just a mixdown, I always try to achieve that point in audible communication where it’s not anymore about what it is, but how it feels like. So all of the fancy tools of a producer are nothing without balancing this audible energy. And this doesn’t happen in your trained ears, or your experienced engineer’s mind. It happens in your heart. And this is an everlasting value. So there may some beautiful pieces being produced just to make a living. But, for me, there’s no difference, if it’s a job or just sharing inspiration. The spirit in all of my work will always be about balancing audible energy – passion!”
